Baccano

Oh you
This anime Baccano is one of my favorites and I decided I'd share that with you. So here's a quick synopsis on this amazing anime.

This series is based on a set of light novels which are also terrific and award winning, I haven't gotten around to reading any though personally. The anime follows several events which appear to be unrelated, different times, places and characters, but they are all part of a much larger story.

All of the many, terrifically constructed characters in this series are linked together in some way and their stories all tell the tale of something long in the past, a story about immortality, alchemy and survival.

In this anime there is a lot of blood and fighting, especially being centered around the events on the train The Flying Pussyfoot where mafia groups and even the mysterious rail tracer are on board.

This anime has a very "old gangster" vibe to it and I found this terrific. There are events such as shop shootouts and gang initiation fights and the classy music just backs it all up.

The interesting thing to note about the characters of this series is that they are all amazingly constructed, it is so that there are a lot of main characters, all tied together by the hilarious Isaac and Miria.

So I suggest checking it out, it's such an expansive universe and with amazing characters and fight scenes, not to mention a terrific feeling of everything-being-related, it's worth a watch. By the way, if you feel the anime is a bit slow in the first few episodes, please stick through it, it gets better.

10/10

PS. Happy Easter.

  7. I loved this series! If you have seen the Durarara series there's an epic moment that happens with some characters from Baccano :D, I don't want to say who it is in case you haven't seen it.

I've had Baccano on my backlog for a while, but I still don't know when I'll get around to it, hopefully within the month.

  9. Always meant to watch this - Had it sitting on my hard drive a while back, deleted it, got it again, deleted it ...

I think I just have a relatively short attention span when it comes to anime.

I know I really should get into watching it, the reviews are often tipped exactly the way yours is, towards it being a stunning show

I will try my best to watch it ;) thanks for sharing Claude

  16. Indeed, Baccano is a pretty nice anime. It's even one that normals can get into if they like mob movies and such. Though some people might be turned off by the supernatural aspect of it.

I plan on reading the light novels for Japanese practice some day. Just not right now, I've other light novels I want to get through first.
