Winter 2010

Anyone finished this yet?
So I finally got around to finishing (almost) everything on my winter list of anime to watch. You've already seen my short review of Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka so you'll be seeing reviews like that over the next few days over the anime I watched last season.



So what did I watch for the winter season?

Last season I watched the following, and this is the rating I gave each.

Infinite Stratos - 7/10 (Generously)
Fractale - 9/10 (Again somewhat generous)
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? - 8/10 (Gosh I'm being generous)
Yumekui Merry - 7/10 (I think this is rather fair)
Toaru Majutsu no Index II - 8/10 (Fair)
Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne - Incomplete but considering a 6/10
Puella Magi Madoka Magica - Incomplete but considering a 9/10

(I basically ignored all the horrible endings that these had for these scores, that said, they aren't my final scores either)

So look forward to short reviews in my own style for these series.

    It was good, but episode 12 was retarded. I will be covering a review of this this week too actually

    I think I rate things a fair bit more harshly than you. For the ones we both watched:

    Fractale - 6 (/10)
    Zombie - 6
    Merry - 5
    Index - 2
    Madoka - probably 8, depends on the ending

    I'd be interested on what you have to say about Yumekui Merry - I can't really make up my mind whether I liked it for the character designs or dislike it for the glacially paced plot.

    @Remi - retarded episode 12, are you talking about IS, Merry, Index? Gosh, so many of these had horrible endings.

    @serenity - Yes I too feel like I rate things very generously, and these ones I've been specifically generous. However that said I think you rate rather harsh personally.

    I think this is due to the fact that I simply enjoy watching anime and I rate them based on enjoyment level :)

    In that case, unless I get any more specific requests, I think I shall do my review on Yumekui Merry first, look out for it.

    I only watched Madoka out of that list. I've watched the first ep of Zombie and Fractale - might continue to watch Zombie later, but I dunno about Fractale (I heard not so good comments about it)

    I've never thought of picking up Yumekui; I'm interested to hear what you have to say about the series.

    Dropped everything last season, I think it was the worst season since like 2008. Spring season is awesome though! :D

    The only two things on the list I'm watching are Madoka and Zombie. I'm more of the type of person to pick at series a bit after they air though, so I'll most likely sort through some that interest me a bit and watch them during this season.

    @peazasied, Otaku is just a somewhat derogatory term for a person who is basically addicted/enthusiast of things like anime, video games, technology, robots etc. It's pretty much used for people who are enthusiasts for anime etc japan related.

    I haven't watched anything from this season. It didn't seem to be that interesting, so I decided to just catch up with my backlog. I'm going to check out a few of the series later, though.
